    The More Things Change...

A couple of weeks ago I was in ecstasy in a darkened room with heavenly music all around me when, suddenly, the exasperated voice of my long-late grandmother said, “Not that song again!”

Not that I blame her for her attitude mind you. Back in 1960whatever when I got my hands on the single of “Let’s Hang On” I played it on my little mono record player until there was practically no vinyl left on the nearly smooth black surface of the recording. This was a song by the Four Season, actually by then it was Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons as he was the only one left of the original lineup. I adored that song. But my constant playing of it created a bit of attention in my teenage home. Grandma got pretty sick of it, and Grandma was always a vocal sort.

So I wasn’t surprised at hearing her complaint while I was at my first Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concert and I was bopping around and singing along to “Let’s Hang On”, which it turns out, is still one of my favorite songs.

I rediscovered the Four Seasons a few months ago after insisting to my younger friends that they’d enjoy going to “Jersey Boys”, the musical based on the Four Seasons. The play was great and my friends were amazed at my lip-synching with dead-on accuracy to every song in the show. After seeing “Jersey Boys” I went looking for Four Seasons music.

Now, once upon a long time ago I owned every single the band recorded, but never any of the albums oddly enough. Not that it matters, as I have no idea where those recordings have gotten to. Nor would I have any means of playing singles even if I could find them (do you guys even know what a single is?)

Ah, but while the music (and I) is old, it (and I) is still great. Finding the songs wasn’t hard at all. All I had to do was download the Four Seasons music to my iPod. How weird and wonderful that things change and stay the same.

I’ve returned to the days of playing “Let’s Hang On” constantly. And the ghost of my grandmother sighs. Loudly. Mostly because thanks to modern technology I’m a lot deafer than I was at 16.

    Autumn Report

This has been a year of personal pain -- most of it my own damn fault. It was plain old clumsiness that caused the fall that bruised my ribs, and misjudgment that triggered the fall off the bicycle only a few days before DragonCon that messed up my knee and leg. And a stubborn fanaticism to knit a pair of socks on size 1 needles that caused the repetivie motion problem in my wrists and elbows.

These are all physical pains, and I can cope with them. But what's really hurting me is the fresh wound that I and every other American writer has received from a Swedish guy in charge of selecting the Nobel Prize for Literature. According to this Swedish fellow, we American authors are just too insular (I think this might be Europeaon code for commercial and just plain dumb) for our work to ever be under consideration by his esteemed literary committee.

Now, I never held out much hope for winning a Nobel Prize. After all, I actually make a living writing books, but knowing the faint possibility was there was always a little flake of hope on my crassly tarnished soul. Now that hope is gone forever -- the flake having become a scab of hopelessness (I'm trying to sound literary here). I am an American. I can't help it. I was born here. My ancestors did me the disservice of fleeing the shores of Europe -- probably to escape being bored by Swedish literary snobs. Now my writing efforts will never be worthy of consideration by the most prestigious literary panel in -- well, Europe. Hmmm, come to think of it, that's a pretty insular view of world literature, Mr. Swedish guy.

Oh, well, at least Beverly Hills Chihuahua opens tomorrow. Maybe seeing it will help scratch the scab on my soul.

    Personal Heroes

I’ve been known to check out and occasionally contribute to several romance message boards. Questions like “Which hero would you like to meet?” pop up now and then, and lively discussions ensue. I don’t generally participate in these, because, well, I live with some of my heroes full time (there’s one that I’m certain drinks my coffee when I’m not looking) and it’s not always a bed of roses – just like living with any man. Okay, they’re imaginary, but that’s only a statement I make to keep from being locked away in a softly-padded room.

I have two kinds of characters that hang out in my head. There are those I refer to as the ‘transients’ – they move in for a while, tell me their stories, then move out. These are the people who (mostly) populate my books. Then there are the ‘permanent residents’. A lot of the permanent residents have never had a word written about them – and believe me they complain about that. But their stories would take up multi-volume epics that I’m not sure anyone would be interested in but me – so I constantly remind them that I do this writing gig for a living.

Some of the most permanent residents were supposed to start out as transients but once they moved in there was no evicting them. The most active of this bunch of squatters is a guy named Laurent Wolf. There is no shutting Laurent up. He originated as a sort of homage to Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I needed a bad-guy point of view character in I HUNGER FOR YOU (his personality started to form when I wrote a description of him looking like Legolas gone bad). From there he went on to be the hero of his own book, MASTER OF DARKNESS and has appeared as a secondary character in a couple more of the Primes Series. He’s a motor-mouth, smart-mouth pest, but I love him dearly.

So, I have my own personal demons – uh, vampires – but what hero that lives in some other writer’s head would I like to hang out with? The answer is, Sam Vimes. Commander of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Duke of Ankh-Morpork. Husband to Lady Sybil. Father to Young Sam. Stubborn, honest, tough wonderful Sam Vimes. If you don’t know Terry Pratchett’s Discworld fantasy series you don’t know Sam Vimes. And if you don’t read Discworld – why not?

    Travel Broadens

The hips, of course, but also the mind, and sensory experience. I’ve just returned from a train trip across the American West and I have learned an important bit of research that I’m sure will end up in a book – I’ve learned that it’s very difficult to brush teeth on a moving train. Wouldn’t have known that if I hadn’t tried it.

I mention travel, because the things I see, experience, and deliberately research in my travels invariably end up in what I write. If I hadn’t spent time in Las Vegas I wouldn’t have known to describe the hot, dry night wind, having never felt it. If I hadn’t been to the Chedworth Roman villa in England I would never have gotten the idea for “(Like a) Virgin of the Spring”. If I hadn’t spent time in Los Angeles I wouldn’t be aware of the scent of jasmine that is mentioned in several of my vampire books. If I hadn’t been to Egypt – I would still have written about ancient Egypt because I’m barmy for that ancient time and place – but my description wouldn’t have been as accurate.

It is summer. Time to travel. Time to experience the new and different. You should go somewhere. Take one of my books with you to read along the way while you’re at it. I’m going to stay home and write for a while.

    May 09

Okay, so it's been a while

I can explain! Actually, I can't. I haven't blog for a while, and there's no excuse for it. Whatt have I been doing while not blogging (or checking my blog which is worse than not blogging)?

Writing, of course. And falling down in Las Vegas. Which led to sore ribs that led to x-rays that led to a diagnosis of pnuemonia which led to more x-rays which led to a CT scan which led to a PET scan (and now I'm waiting for the results). I most likely have a viral fungus in my right lung. I have named this lung fungus Floyd. Floyd and I have apparently been together for some time...but I feel fine!

And when I haven't been writing or knitting or having various medical procedures inflicted on me, I have been reading. Which gives me two series that I want to recommend.

First, I have finally gotten around to reading the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes mystery series by Laurie R. King. This is the finest example of fan writing I've come across since Susan Matthews was writing Star Wars and Blake's 7 stuff. I'm not a Holmes purist, so I had no trouble getting into the notion that a semi-retired (and younger than the way Watson portrayed him) Holmes would take on a teenage female apprentice to share adventures and eventual marriage. THE BEEKEEPER'S APPRENCTICE is the first of the series and I highly recommend it. And all the others. I know that Mary Russell is a fictional character, but I'd love to have her as a friend.

The second series of books I'm delighted with are a trio of military science fiction (space opera) novels by R. M. Meluch. THE MYRIAD, WOLF STAR, and THE SAGITTARIOUS COMMAND are full of much derring-do against hideous aliens. The books are worth reading even more for the characters than for the plots, and the plots are pretty dang great.

On the publishing front, well, I won't have a new Primes novel out before December, but I have quite a few short stories and novellas that will be released over the summer. First up, there's a novella, "(Like a) Virgin of the Spring" in the Kim Harrison edited June release HOTTER THAN HELL.

Floyd and I are going back to work now.

    First Post of the Year

Happy New Year and I hope your holidays were just fine.

This is my first day back at work since December 23rd. It's not good for a writer to go for many days without writing. I knit a lot though. And had a lot of company visit. And there were parties and presents and all that other holiday good stuff. Only went to one movie, though. Went to see THE GOLDEN COMPASS and then since I hadn't read the Pullman HIS DARK MATERIALS trilogy I downloaded the first two books onto my iPod and listened to them. I'm currently in the process of downloading THE AMBER SPYGLASS so I can finish hearing the trilogy. I'm very impressed with the writing, but need to get through the whole thing before I make up my mind about the story.

Now that I'm back to work I think it's time for me to mention a group website that I'm involved in. This site, known as BUMP IN THE NIGHT CENTRAL was started by a group of paranormal romance authors to advertise our being at last year's Dragoncon. Well, now the site is expanding out to cover so many more areas -- such as we're doing a newsletter and we each have forums we'll show up to chat in and there's contest and other stuff planned. Please stop by and check BUMP IN THE NIGHT CENTRAL out at:

Meanwhile, keep checking over here and at http://susansizemore.com or at sgsizemore@msn.com for news from me.

    Holiday Greetings

Happy Holidays to all and sundry!!

Okay, it's been a few months since I've been over here. I mean to blog on a regularbasis, but my good intentions get overwhelmed by other stuff -- for example my excuse this time was that I wrote a book since last I visited here. The book is a military SF romance . Or a Futuristic paranormal romance to put it another way. It's called IN THE DARK.

And if you would like to read an excerpt of IN THE DARK please visit http://susansizemore.com

And speaking of http://susansizemore.com the site has been updated for the holidays. Changes include an excerpt of the next Primes book, PRIMAL NEEDS and info on entering a drawaing to win a copy of the British edition of PRIMAL HEAT.

    May your holidays be grand!

Correction to the Poetry Corner, and Stuff

Okay, the line from the Marvell poem is actually, "The grave's a fine and PRIVATE place..." I knew that.  Remembered it a second after I posted and meant to come back and change it. But I didn't.

Speaking of A FINE AND PRIVATE PLACE it is the title of a fine book by Peter S. Beagle...who, to my shame, I went fangirl all over at DragonCon on Monday afternoon. You see, I was at a bookseller's booth at the con. I'd come by to sign my own books that she had in stock before heading home on this, the last day of the HUGE Atlanta multi-media convention. I noticed a man sitting at the bookseller's table doing a signing, but my focus was on getting my own books signed so I could leave for the airport. On my way out I finally noticed the titles of the books on the table before the man. There sat Peter S. Beagle, one of my favorite writers of all time. "You're Peter S. Beagle!" I yelled. He was already aware of this. Anyway, I gushed and made a fool of myself and happily came away with a signed copy of A FINE AND PRIVATE PLACE.

DragonCon was wonderful. I had a great time -- except for several days of intestinal difficulties and a very bad haircut...but you don't want to know the details of either of those.

I did a signing and was on several panels (I met David Weber!) and hung out at a booth Called the BUMP IN THE NIGHT authors booth in the exhibit hall. The Bump authors include myself, Ruth York, Maggie Shayne, Susan Kearney and Angela Knight and our purpose in hanging out in the exhibit hall was to raffle off a pair of treasure chests full of our books. We got to meet a lot of fans, and hopefully made a few new ones.

If you want to check out photos of the great costumes people do at DragonCon you can check out www.dragoncon.org I'm sure that they'll be posted any day now.

    More later.

Times Winged Chariot...(Yeah, I know poetry...) Or, The month sure is rushing by...

Okay, the month is half over and I don't feel like I've gotten anything done! This is not true...the Laws of the Blood novella is close to being finished. The novella I'm expanding into a novel has gone from 19k words to 28k. The writing is coming along, but like always I think it ought to be going faster.

And, the middle of the month having arrived, I've noticed that PRIMAL DESIRES is now shipping from Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. So, even though the official release date is the 27th, I guess I can say "MY NEW BOOK IS OUT!!! YAY!!!" You should get it and read it and tell all your friends to do the same, okay?

What else? Oh, yeah. I'm putting together a newsletter to send out to my mailing list. My website http://susansizemore.com has been updated. And I'll be doing a chat at http://www.writerspace.com  at 9:00 PM ET on August 22nd. Stop by and chat.

I'll also be at DragonCon in Atlanta, GA over the Labor Day holiday. If you're heading to DragonCon stop by the Bump in the Night booth on the Walk of Fame and meet me and Maggie Shayne and Angela Knight and a bunch of other paranormal romance writers whose names I don't recall at the moment.

More later...oh, and if memory serves the poem goes like this At my back I always hear time's winged chariot drawing near...the grave's a fine and quiet place, but none I think do there embrace. Andrew Marvell obviously never read any vampire fiction.

How I'm Spending My Summer Vacation

Okay, technically I'm not taking a summer vacation. I went to Ireland in the spring and have an autumn trip planned, but I'm staying home over the summer. I spent a couple of weeks in Rowhlingland in July, catching up on book 6 of the Harry Potter series then jumping straight into book 7 the day it was released. No spoilers here, but I will say I was satisfied with how the series ended. Now I'm a little sad that there won't be a book 8 to wait for.

Mostly I'm staying in air conditioning and working on future Primes books, and on a novella for the Laws of the Blood. But I'm also working on something for fun. I'm writing two things for myself. Of course I will attempt to get these projects published when they are finished, but I am having a wonderful time writing at my own pace, for my own pleasure -- that's what a writer does for fun. I'm taking a vacation inside my head.

Let's see, I have a book out at the end of the month PRIMAL DESIRES, the 6th book of the Primes series. And I'm looking forward to going to Dragoncon in Atlanta over Labor Day. And the local renaissance faire will be starting in a couple of weeks. Altogether it's being a lovely summer.

And if you'd like to enter a drawing for a copy of LAWS OF THE BLOOD: COMPANIONS, send an emaile with "Companions Drawing" in the subject line to sgsizemore@msn.com You have until August 6th to enter.

    Treasure on my doorstep

Today has been a day of delivery people leaving boxes on my doorstep. First came the Amazon.com order (full of manga...okay, I've gotten totally hooked on Trinity Blood...of course I'm going to love a story about a vampire priest who preys on bad vampires...rather reminds me of what the Laws of the Blood enforcers do).

Then the Aran knit sweaters I bought in Ireland and had shipped home arrived in a very large box. Oh, they is so pretty! Yarn junkie though I am I didn't buy any yarn to knit on my recent Irish trip. But I did acquire a whole lot of hand woven shawls (I collect shawls and scarves) and other lovely textiles.

And then a box of LAWS OF THE BLOOD: PARTNERS arrived from the book's publisher. That's the second book in the reissued LAWS OF THE BLOOD series. PARTNERS features vampire enforcer Char McCairn and mortal vampire hunter Jebel Haven.

I adore this series, and to continue celebrating the reprinting of all the books, I'm holding the second of five drawings that I'll be doing over the summer. To enter the drawing for a copy of  LAWS OF THE BLOOD: PARTNERS send an email with PARTNERS DRAWING in the subject line to sgsizemore@msn.com I'll notify the winners on June 25th!

I better go write a book now. After I pet the sweaters for a while.

    An Exaltation of Sparrow

Is there an "h" somewhere in exaltation? Exhaltation?  I suppose I could look it up, but I'm not going to.

Anyway, like most of you I went to see the 3rd Pirates movie over the weekend. I wasn't too enthusiastic about going, having loathed, hated, despised and been downright bored by the second movie. But since I love all the actors in the cast (Chow Yun Fat rocks most of all!) I schlepped off with a bunch of friends prepared to grit my teeth and wish I could knit in the dark.

However, it was a wonderful 3+ hours. Okay, it was a little too long, but the movie was great! It was like watching the last 250 pages of a great epic novel. The numerous plot threads all came together quite nicely. And we stayed for the end of the end credits which was a lovely end indeed.

I recall reading a couple of reviews that complained that the story didn't make any sense. This makes me worry for the education and comprehension level of the reviewers involved. Us mundane ole movie goers didn't have any trouble following the goings on.

I'm happy to say that several folk have emailed me about winning a copy of LAWS OF THE BLOOD: THE HUNT. When I posted the contest I wasn't sure anybody would even read the post, since I'm not the best at keeping up with this blog myself.

A plug for some books by friends of mine:

If you read mystery, I highly recommend DEATH ROLL by Marilyn Victor, which will be released in hardbound from Five Star Press in June. I love this book, as my quote on the cover will attest.

And if you like historical romance with authentic settings and historical detail I highly recommend NETTLEFLOWER by Terri Beckett and Chris Power. It's available as an ebook from www.cerridwenpress.com

Try my vampire book -- Please!!!

I've been to Ireland since last I posted. And a lovely trip it was.

Also since I was last here LAWS OF THE BLOOD: THE HUNT, the first of five reissues of my vampire fantasy series has been released to stores. The second book, LAWS OF THE BLOOD: PARTNERS is due out any time now.

It has occurred to me that maybe I ought to do something to publicize what I consider a momentous event. Hey, I love this series!

So, I'm holding a contest to give away some copies of THE HUNT. If you are interested in finding out what this series is like send an email to sgsizemore@msn.com. Please put: Hunt Contest in the header. I'll contact all winners on June 3rd.

    Until later.

News For Laws of the Blood Fans

I've been trying to post here for some weeks with no luck. Let's hope it takes this time.

What's the LotB news? First off the five books in the series: HUNT, PARTNERS, COMPANIONS, DECEPTIONS and HEROES are being reissued starting in May. They have new, gorgeous covers...which I'll try to post here (and on my website susansizemore.com).

More importantly for you who have already read the books in this dark fantasy series and have been asking me (daily) for more -- well, I'm starting a new story in the universe. Before you ask, no, this story will not be resolving the Haven/Char/Geoff problem. But it will feature Valentine and some questions left hanging at the end of HEROES will be dealt with.

And, yes, I do intend to get back to Haven, Char and Geoff. Also Istvan and Selena. And Olympias and Mike. And the revolution you guys don't know anything about yet.

    I'm Back...

Okay, it's been a while -- since November, actually -- since I posted over here. Sorry about that. Mind you, my computer was acting up during December and I rarely even turned it on. It's better now. Secondly, I was trying to get a book written. Said book, PRIMAL DESIRES, is now finished and I'm catching up on stuff that got put aside while I was working.

I don't really have any opinions or insights to share at the moment. Tonight's the Academy Awards, so maybe I'll feel compelled to discuss fashions tomorrow. I doubt if I'll feel compelled to discuss who got the actual awards as I've seen so few of the movies that are nominated for anything. Okay, I will complain that I think Denzel should have been nominated for INSIDE MAN, and Clive Owen should be sent to me. I'm even willing to pay the shipping fee.

Of the movie that's nominated for Best Picture that I did see, I have to say that LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA is brilliant, amazing, wonderful, and a complete downer....well, an almost complete downer. It's not like I didn't go into the movie knowing the history of the battle. WWII is of consuming interest to me. All of my male relatives fought in the Pacific, though I know a wee bit more about the war in Europe than I do in the Pacific.

I shall post writing news sometime real soon now.

    Relationships with Stuff

I tend to anthropomorphise a lot. For example, I have an Ipod. And I didn't realize I'd given a name to this iPod until I was searching for it the other night and said, "Mr. Darcy, where are you?" (he...it...was on the bed). Apparentently I had named a machine after FitzWilliam Darcy without realizing I'd done so until the name was spoken. Is this weird? I can't judge, as the folks I hang with tend to be writers, and writers are not the most normal folk on the block. Anybody else out there name their stuff? My computer has a name, as does the car. I haven't named the blood sugar monitor, but if I did I suppose "You Prick" would be a good moniker for it.

WINGS OF THE STORM and AFTER THE STORM back in print!

My classic time travel tales, WINGS OF THE STORM and AFTER THE STORM are now available once more. These exciting romantic tales set in medieval England have been republished in trade paperback size by Romance Book Classics. They are available to order from this site:

If you like time travel, and you haven't ever read any of mine, you might want to give them a try.

My favorite of all my time travel novels, THE AUTUMN LORD will be available soon!

    Happy Halloween!

Ah, October 31st at last! My favorite holiday -- Samhain, Halloween, the Eve of All Saints. My Mom's birthday. Mom loved having Halloween as her day, and we always made a big fuss over it. It's a great day to be a vampire writer. Tonight I shall celebrate Samhain by dressing up in my Italian Renaissance costume and going out to dinner with other costumed friends.

Then I hope to come home and watch one of my all time favorite Halloween movies. It's about a pair of serial killer sisters, their mad brother who helps them dispose of the bodies,  and their criminally insane nephew who returns to the family home with the intention of murdering his own brother -- the only sane member of this macabre clan. It takes place on Halloween. In Brooklyn. And it's not a horror movie. It's one of the funniest movies (and plays) ever made, called ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, and stars Cary Grant. I absolutely adore that movie. And Cary Grant.

On the writing front, I recently finished my first erotica story for an upcoming anthology. More news on when (LIKE A) VIRGIN OF THE SPRING will be available when I know. It's not only my first attempt at erotica, but also the first time travel story I've written in many a year.  For you LAWS OF THE BLOOD fans, I'd like to announce that Ace will be rereleasing all five books in new packaging next year, and to celebrate that I'll be writing a novella set in the LotB universe for an upcoming anthology. In the Primes series, PRIMAL DESIRE will be released in June of 2007.

    Once again, Happy Halloween.

Excerpts of NO PRINCESS NEED APPLY posted

For some years now I've been working on a futuristic romance I call NO PRINCESS NEED APPLY. The story is about an alien emperor ordering a supermodel from Earth out of a lingerie catalog. Recently I was invited to participate at a blog called ALIEN ROMANCE with six other writers. My day to post is Friday. On Fridays I've been putting up excerpts of NO PRINCESS NEED APPLY.

    Dragoncon Report

Last week at this time I was in Atlanta, Georgia, but I was also in a different world. Not an alien world for me, because I’ve been going to science fiction and media conventions since the 1970s. But despite being experienced with the world of fandom, this was my first Dragoncon, and it blew me away. I spent the Labor Day holiday smiling, gang, smiling so much my jaw ached. Me, and about 40,000 other smiling people, many in costume, all of us crowded into three huge hotels in downtown Atlanta.

How does one explain fandom to the uninitiated? Well, if I say “It’s the most fun you can have while dressed up like Darth Vader” that might give a bit of a hint of the flavor of what a con can be. Fandom is this huge family, a multi-generation, ever-expanding family, and Dragoncon (see www.Dragoncon.org for more info and pictures) is one of the biggest annual family get togethers you can experience. If you like something – say science fiction/fantasy romance – you will find people of like mind happy to talk about it with you at Dragoncon. Heck, I ended up joining a fanclub called Stargate Atlanta, even though I live in the upper Midwest because I’m a Stargate fan. I bought Firefly/Serenity tee-shirts and Anime DVDs in the Dealers Room, I went to a music concert by a Celtic rock band called Emerald Rose, I was tempted to bid on an oil painting in the art show that depicted “The Two Jacks” Sparrow and Aubrey that is, a young woman filled me in on the plotline of a television series from New Zealand called “The Tribe” that had a track of programming. I talked vampires with lots of people. I went to the parade.

Yes, Dragoncon has its own parade. On Saturday a section of downtown Atlanta is closed off and the parade goes by. The parade consists of guests, and of costumed Dragoncon participants. My morning started with me standing on the sidewalk outside the Hyatt and calling a friend back home. I woke her up, but I had to tell her about the huge flock of Jedi I’d just seen heading up the street to the assembly area. The parade started with a bagpiper (fantasy writer/artist Janny Wurts) and was followed up by a convertible carrying one of the con’s many guests – Mickey Rooney. Let’s see, what do I remember? A shire’s worth of hobbits, along with lots of Elves and two different Gandalfs, one gray, one white were in the parade. Um, all the houses of Hogwarts were represented. There were those Jedi I saw earlier, and a troop of Imperial Stormtroopers brought up the rear. And I’ll never forget Zoot Suit Vader. I think my favorite was the old car that had been pimped out as the Thunderbird of War and had a passel of Klingons hanging off of it. Oh, and there were all the superheros, and an large group of people dressed as icons from WWII, including Rosie the Riveter and Betty Grable. I mean, it was great, and incredibly creative. And that was just the parade.

Part of the reason I was at the con was to work. I ended up speakin on five panels, four on writing on the Writing Track and one on vampires as the eternal archetype on the Goth Track. I went to a lot of panels, as well, including writing fantasy humor, and discussions on Anne McCaffrey’s Pern books. Todd McCaffrey was on the Pern panels, as was Jody Lynn Nye. Jody and Bob Aspirin did several discussions of the Myth books. Let’s see, who else do I remember being there? Kevin Sorbo was among the actor guests, other writers include our own Susan Kearney. Mary Janice Davidson was there, as was Sherrilyn Kenyon, Deb Dixon, Josepha Sherman, Ann Crispin, Lilith Saintcrow, Rosemary Laurey – that’s all I can remember right now.

Anyway, Dragoncon was huge and fun and almost overwhelming, and I highly recommend you go next year. I know I’m going to be there.
